Donna Vukich has been employed with Naknek Electric Association for twenty years and has been the General Manager since 1998. As General Manager, she lobbies vigorously for monies for the cooperative. NEA’s Board of Directors, past and present, can attest to Donna’s aggressive efforts in maintaining affordable power for its members.

In 1999 she negotiated a contract with Iliamna, Newhalen and Nondalton Electric Cooperative to provide administrative, accounting, and payroll services for a fee which offsets NEA’s costs. Donna currently negotiated a technical assistance agreement with the Denali Commission and Manokotak Power Company.

Donna is also aggressively pursuing funding resources at the local, state, and federal levels for geothermal resource assessment within the Bristol Bay Region. In 2007 NEA drilled three shallow test wells to a depth of 400 feet taking core samples for analysis.

Donna is a long time resident of Naknek, Alaska. She is married to Danislav “Dane” and has three daughters, Robin, Eva, and Mili. Her daughter, Robin and Son-In-Law, David (DJ) Angiak have five children, Annie, Lizzie, Gracie, Danica, and David Judah making Donna a proud grandparent. Donna and her family are actively involved in their church, the fishing industry, and in the region’s economic development.
